London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine Malaria Centre

Malaria Centre PhD Showcase Event

13 February 2018
Manson Lecture Theatre, Keppel Street
2018 will be an exciting year for the Malaria Centre as we are celebrating our 20th anniversary, and we would like PhD students to be a part of this celebration.

On 13 February 2018, the Malaria Centre will be hosting our first PhD Showcase Event, which is intended to celebrate the diversity and relevance of current malaria research at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. This Showcase Event gives you the opportunity to share your research across the Centre and build relationships with new and existing PhD students. We hope the experience of presenting your work to a multidisciplinary audience of staff and students will also help hone your presentation and networking skills, and support you in your preparation for your future career.

Please follow the instructions below to apply and submit your abstract.

What will you do?

You will present the latest findings from your research in the form of an oral presentation of 10 minutes, or short, 2 minute, turbo talk.

We particularly encourage anyone with early results to opt for the longer oral presentation. A turbo talk also provides an excellent opportunity for PhD students who have not yet upgraded to highlight the focus of their research and share ideas.

Application process

Applications should be submitted by 21 January 2018. To apply, please follow this 'Register' link.

If you have any questions please contact us on, malaria [at] lshtm [dot] ac [dot] uk.
